My Dear Colleagues,

A single tree doesn’t last forever, a forest does !

This we do by offering Smart Cards, SIM cards, and biometric and enrollment solutions to our customers. Our goal is to be the first choice for our customers; and to achieve this goal we strive to bring in the best from three critical areas – performance, people and process.

I take immense pride in stating that in the last few years, we have been able to earn laurels for the company by positioning it as the market leader by:

  • Producing more than 1 Billion SIM cards in India – and this number grows rapidly
  • Only SIM Vendor to service all Telecom operators in India
  • Delivering more than 50% of Global products from our R&D team in Noida
  • Providing end to end solutions surrounding the Aadhaar program
  • Possessing Highly Process Oriented Teams
  • Having the maximum number of Youngest ‘Old’ People
All our businesses are focused on driving continuous improvement and finding success, no matter what market conditions we face. And this is true to our motto “We will either find a way or make one !”

The strongest commitment we can make to our people is to fulfill our goal of creating a workplace that is buzzing with innovation and empowerment. Our teams have left no stones unturned to take care of their colleagues; this also translates into working hard to attract, develop and retain the very best talent available in our country. Our people love working here and it shows through the fact that only 6% of the people left the company last year.

The 2012 Employee Organization Survey shows an overall satisfaction level at 71 percent.

We can only grow as an organization when we encourage different viewpoints and ways of thinking; when we agree to disagree. I value the opinion of every employee, recognize and respect the need of change.

The Employee Organization Survey has equally helped in identifying some important improvement areas in the organization such as:
  • Corporate / cross-functional / team communication is an essential aspect that needs to be enhanced.
  • To foster a culture where employees learn to take ownership of their work and do every possible thing that satisfies them as well as the organization; thereby increasing Employee Engagement Score
  • Building a Transparent and Quantitative Performance Review Mechanism and promote a culture where performance review is periodic, frequent and as objective as possible.
  • Implementing a Reward and Recognition program as an effective part of our talent enhancement strategy.
The management committee has already addressed these improvement areas to further enhance our workplace effectiveness; the respective BU Heads will be implementing action plans at their BU level.

For lasting change to occur, each employee in the organization must participate in his own development, assuming ownership, and working for continuous improvement and better results.
